UBPro-422 corrosion inhibitor is an effective corrosion inhibitor in solids-free packer fluids and other oil and gas industry applications. UBPro-422 corrosion inhibitor is effective at temperatures up to 400℉(204℃) in monovalent (sodium and potassium) brines and up to 300℉(149℃) in divalent (calcium and zine) brines, Typical results show over ninety percent corrosion inhibition.

Recommended Handling
Treatment recommendations should be based on area histories which indicate a need for an inhibited packer fluid and compatibility test of UBPro-422corrosion inhibitor with the packer fluid.
The suggested treatment for solids-free freshwater or brine packer fluids is 0.5%-1% by volume.

Packer fluids
Expertly formulated packer fluids limit production tubing and production casing corrosion while extending these components’ life and reducing costs over the well’s lifetime. They also eliminate differential pressure across the packer to avoid reaching collapse pressure and extend the reliability and life of the packer.
Packer fluid is a fluid used during the completion and production stages of a well, filling the annular space between the tubing and casing (i.e., the tubing-casing annulus) above the packer. Its primary functions include:
Providing hydrostatic pressure to reduce the pressure differential between the packer sealing element and the wellbore wall, preventing collapse.
Protecting metal and elastomeric materials from corrosion, ensuring long-term well integrity.
Maintaining sufficient density to control the producing formation while ensuring long-term stability and non-corrosiveness.
