Oil-Based Mud(OBM) Organophilic Clay Viscosifier

UBDrill-272 is a high-performance organophilic clay viscosifier designed for oil-based mud (OBM), synthetic-based fluids, and oil drilling fluids. It provides excellent low-shear-rate viscosity, gel strength, suspension, and dispersion properties.

It helps improve the carrying capacity and suspension of weighting materials, supports effective hole cleaning, and enhances filter cake quality. It is suitable for diesel-based, mineral oil-based, and synthetic oil-based drilling fluids and remains stable at high and low temperatures.

Introduction

UBDrill-272 is an organophilic clay that provides viscosity and gelling properties for all oil-base and synthetic base fluids. UBDrill-272 is a high-performance, amine-treated bentonite that improves the carrying capacity, gel strength, and suspension of weight material while also improving the quality of the filter cake.

Recommended Handling

The recommended concentration is 1.0%-3.0% (15 to 40 kg/m3) of total circulation mud volume. Treatment concentration will vary depending on the type of mud system, solids content and oil water ratio.

While building the new mud system, slowly add UBDrill-272 into base oil with effectively shearing and mixing by mixing pump, agitators and mud guns at the same time. Avoid mixing rapidly.

Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment, and reference MSDS for further information.

Kraft paper bag with PE liner or multi-wall paper sacks or customized.

Storein a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Store away from incompatibles.

Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and/or stacking.
