Product Introduction

▶ Corrosion Inhibitor UBPro-425 is a novel water soluble/highly oil-dispersible, strong cathodic film forming corrosion inhibitor. Very high levels of corrosion protection have been proven for mixed fluids at turbulent shear rates of up to 10 metres per second.

▶ Corrosion Inhibitor UBPro-425 is improved formulation and has been developed for the film persistency, corrosion protection of tubing and pipelines in both oil and gas field operations.

The inhibitor protects against corrosion in the presence of carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide and organic acids and is effective in the presence of a wide range of oil/condensate to water ratios.

UBPro-425 could be the alternative Corrosion inhibitor for Clariant's 14420.

Applications / Functions

  • Corrosion Inhibitor UBPro-425 would normally be applied by continuous injection, but it may be applied by batch treatment or tubing displacement. Initial treatment should be up to 4 times the normal level to ensure complete filming of lines.
  • Dose levels would normally be in the 15 - 40 ppm range (with respect to total produced fluids) the precise level being dictated by the severity of the corrosion problem.
  • Corrosion Inhibitor UBPro-425 may be line injected or atomised into gas lines using a suitable chemical pump. It is completely soluble in methanol.

Recommended Handling

  • All personnel handling this material must handle it as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions as described in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Packaging and Storage

Packed in 200 liter metal or plastic drums.
